New Jacdaw Nation.

So far with Jacdaw David and I have concebtrated on British anbd French Troops for the War of Austrian Succession. However we thought its the War of AUTRIAN Succession so perhaps we need a fe Austrians about the place so here are shots of the masters for the first 3 packs which I'll get into productionn as soon as I can. I'm even going to bump them up the queue a bit and try and have them out fairly soon along with the 42nd Highlanders which include a lovely charging group which may give my moulmaker the odd sleepless night! . I'll photograph those next.
However its Austrian day today. I particularly like the Inhaber- colonel and the Grenadiers. All German units these Hungarians in their funny trouser will be added later . David tells me he's working on some Croats but reckons that once he's finished the figures he's on he's going to catch up on some painting so I can catch up on mouldmaking. You'd be surprised at what we have in the pipline.

  3. DC Personally I don't find white hard- prussian blue mind of Napoleonic Franh line- bore me spitless. White is relativly easy some pale grey washes over white undecoat no worries.
Stokes thanks for the kind words.

  5. Very pleasant figures, full of character, of realistic proportions and with just 'that touch' of 'Old School'.

"You'd be surprised at what we have in the pipline. ": ladies for a Staff / HQ vignette? Comely female camp followers?

I have a lot of surprises to come, Ladies not being the least. I hope havethe first complete Civilian pack ready for Christmas. There will be
both packs of nobles, their servants and country folk, but our priority will be the troops, to complete the armies I hope you are building

  8. Yes we do plan civvies- there are already a couple in the French Road march command- and we have a couple of cattle awaiting herders milkmaids etc. But the fighting men will always be priority. Jacdaw is the sculptor but Andy dos the legwork!!!

  9. I am glad to see Austrians added to the range. I am even more gratified that you will focus on the fighting men and less so on comely ladies. Better to sell the higher volume figures than the requests for one offs that one or two people may buy.

  10. David just gets better and better. These Austrians are full of character and have real variance within each type. It is very good to get away from the artificial uniformity of single pose units. I feel the Italian campaigns might just be moving up my agenda these Austrians are so good.
