Well a white Christmas is on the cards- it may even snaa on Der Tag . I discovered a blog the other day called Wargaming for Grown-ups Hmmm. aye well see his point as its about how the hobby fits into everyday life but then it IS my everyday life and therefore by thre "terms of the Act " so to speak I want to fit some everyday life into my wargaming or to be precise into other peoples wargaming since I don't get to do much of my own. Its a bane of my life that its dammed hard to carry a project through. Now part of this is definitely my fault. Where History is concerned I do have a butterfly mind flittering hither and sometimes even thither amongst the flowers (perhaps even the Flowers of the Forest -cue bagpipes !! ) Being a somewhat voracious reader I tend to move about a bit historically speaking . But having said that I can't take all the blame- being in the wargaming biz full time means that you don't tend to get a lot of personal stuff done and finished- not that any of my personal projects are ever truly finished but even if they were its often a case of "I must paint up a new display unit of that new range or if not me then somebody must paint up etc etc ".- Currently Jim the Painter is doing his 15mm FIW using Bluemoon - which doubtless I'll photograph and my mate John is painting some Bluemoon Marlburians up for me. As for me I'm trying to finish the aforementioned first of the 40mm FIW.
Now despite trying to have a few days off I still have work to do. Heads need to go on the masters of the first packs of Brooks Miniatures 25mm Afghan National Army . I've a couple of new 15mm - thats 1/100th - the CORRECT scale Aircraft to check before they go off to the mouldmakers and some more jacdaw 30mm Austrians to sort out- oh and don't forget the Jacdaw charging Black Watch set either so maybe I'll get a bit of real ife in the gaps.
A slice or two of Yuletide pork and a good bit of Cracklin' and as foro the stuffing... Wassail - Drink Ale...To a Hearty Yultideand the return of the sun...
Sorry Got a bit pagan there it must be my Viking ancestors ...
