Oh I do like to be beside the seaside...

Off to the WAR TORN - event in Scarborough this weekend, where all being well there will be over 20 display games many of them Napoleonic as part of Armed forces day and an attempt on the world record -biggest Wargame . At least one Waterloo of course will have roughly 14,000 25mm figures on the table. I'll have to see if I can get a few pics for this blog.
Other news. I've recieved a big bundle of JACDAW masterd from David
Lanciers de Saxe
French Line Cavalry.
British High Command
Austrian Grenadiers.
amongst others
Keep an eye out for some pics I'll post as soon as I can. Expect to see them released in July and August as soon as I get moulds back from my mouldmaker.
Right now I'm off to the casting shed.

  1. Actually, I think you would need far more than 14000 figures for a world record - I can remember taking part in a battle with 20,000+ 25mm Ancient figures - Romans versus the rest - back in 1973-1974. That was just a club game - and I can't imagine that that was the biggest game ever.

  2. Yes but thre are others in the same vein as part of the attempt I'm not sure how many the others have but the toatl will be well over 25,000 and several chaps have let them down at the last minute so its only an "attempt" this year. Apparently there are rules for this sort of thing - several years ago this club did a fantasy version and "won" the record.
