Stephen Huckaby- the Man from Rave Banner Games sent me these 3 pictures of his upcoming releases which, as soon as they are available, I will be adding to the OGUK product list.
Hopefully I will have these in time for Salute on April 22nd
You don't often get figures in greatcoats or foul weather gear- yet warfare did go on in the rain .....

I wonder if his bugle is full of water ? |
I realy do like the look of these- even though I don't do ACW in 28mm - don't really do it at all any more. The 40mm have not been out of their boxes for 3 or 4 years. However these lads are tempting my paintbrush.

Nice Officers. |
I'll have the intitial group of Raven Banner releases at Vapnartak on Feb 5th but also see them on the OGUK website
http://www.oldgloryuk.com/28mm-american-civil-war-(rbg)/55/241
or if in the US on Raven Banner's own site
http://shop.acwgamer.com/
It will be intresting to see how this range and company develop.
Very nice. I'm fairly new to ACW, but have always fancied doing Fredericksburg. These should fit the bill nicely.
ReplyDeleteI did the ACW back in the late 80s early 90s in "28mm"- though they were 225mm or 30mm back then. I used mostly Old Glory- which I had before I was Old Glory so to speak. Also quite a few Connoisseur and some Eagle..v The most memorable game was a refight of the assault on the mule shoe at Spotsylvania couthouse. For atmosphere- even though its a bit dated by today's standards try Bruce Cattons splendid Army of the Potomac trilogy or indeed anything ACW with his name on it.
DeleteNot my period, but these look very nice. The faces, in particular, are well rendered and full of character.
ReplyDeleteBest Regards,
Stokes
Not so much mine either any more Stokes but I do like this chaps work.... Wonder if he'll branch out into other periods in time?
DeleteThe officer on the left somehow has the look and feel of a contemporary photograph - there is something about his face that is quite uncanny
ReplyDeleteNow I have seen the first release "in the metal" I also find a "Mathew Brdy" look to some of the minis.
DeleteAnd of course I now have stock of all of this stuff.
