Have shovel ... will Travel??

Snaa ,snaa and on top of that a bit of Snaa. Dug a trench this morning from by back door to the gate and another to the garage. Then dug away a 3 -4foot drift to gety the car out ... maybe. Later today I'll hike to the Post office to get some parcels out at least. the Courier can't get in so only Post Office parcels can get out. Nevertheless we continue. All being well we'll be at the York show in about a fornight . Hopefully with a bundle of new stuff from the USA. Mostly Bluemoon 15mm ACW. There are around 20 new packs to add to this already large range. About 4 hours later= well made it to the posr Office- took 20 plus packages. The walk- about 800 or so yards took well over an hour for the round trip.. The backroads are virtually impassable unl;ess you have a landrover - even some of the more wimpy SUV were having trouble. and the snaa continues to fall - about an inch while I was out....

  1. Good Man, the toys must get through!

Anyone who reads TMP will know that Blizzards, family illness or probably even death are completely unacceptable excuses for the figures taking more than 24 hours to arrive.

    Stay safe, stay warm.

  2. That sounds like Chicago style Winter weather to me. Ironically we've only had two inches all winter so far

Keep warm and be careful whilst shoveling

    1. English snowe tends to be wetter than the Chicago variety. You chaps tend to get colder winters on average- this stuff is sticky

  3. There's always one Andy,
I have just cleared my drive for the fifth time, I reckon here in Crook we have had about a good two foot of snow. Good job it didnt land on London, there would have been a state of emergency by now. See you at York, Snow permitting.

    1. Yep its about the same here as you'd expect going to have another bash at getting the motor out today. The first 30 feet will be the hardest...
